Chairperson's Message
It is with a feeling of great privilege deep satisfaction and pride that as a chairperson I am introducing ANAND VIHAR SCHOOL to this website .
When new Madhya Pradesh was formed most of the officers were posted at Bhopal. The officer’s wives formed a club, in 1961 named Vanita Samaj. Realising the need for a good english medium school for their children, they started a basic nursery school Anand Vihar. After that it became the main project of Vanita samaj to work in the field of education for children. The idea behind this school was to make available excellent education at a reasonable cost.
Vanita samaj was provided a land by the government at subsidized cost. The school was started with eight children. One by one rooms were added as and when the funds were available. Vanita samaj never took any grant from the government or donation for admissions. Whatever funds are generated by fee are utilized for infrastructure, salaries to staff and development of school. It is not a profit no loss organization.
The unique feature of Anand Vihar School is that the management, mostly members of Vanita Samaj work without taking any financial benefit. The members of vanita samaj devote their time, expenses for this noble cause.
Today we see an imposing building well equipped with all educational facilities. Nearly 2000 students are enrolled in Anand Vihar School. Anand Vihar School is running for the last fifty four (54) years in Bhopal. The students take part and are awarded prizes in academics, cultural competitions and sports competitions at state and national levels.
